How the program runs, where the data lives, and how backup and updates work.

Where it runs

Windows 10 64-bit or newer, with SQL Server. Details are in system requirements.

Office: computers on the company network connect to the company’s SQL Server.
VPS: a server the company rents, with the program and SQL on it, so branches can connect. This website does not store the books.

People

Several staff share one SQL database, and each person has a login. A login stays on one computer. If the program closes, another computer can use that login after about a minute.

Backup

The backup screen inside the program is not ready yet. It still says Coming Soon. The real backup is done by SQL Server, and the company keeps those copies. Installing a new version does not replace the database.

Updates

The program looks for a newer setup at swiftclean.work/version.json. When one is there, install it on Windows. The database stays where it is.
